Live Oak Animal Clinic of Suwannee County, Inc was established 1981 by Drs. John and Rebecca Alford. Rebecca established and built the small animal portion of the practice while John developed the equine and other large animals portion of the practice.
The entire practice sat on about 10 acres on the south side of Live Oak with a 3,000 sq. ft. small animal hospital and a barn to handle the haul in large animal clients.
In 2018, the Alford’s sold the small animal portion of the practice, along with 1 acre of the property. Dr. John continues to operate the large animal practice on the remaining 9 acres.
The small animal practice is now owned and operated by Marie Leslie-Schretzmann, who is also the founder and co-owner of Caring Hands Animal Hospital in Lake City, Fl, Stith Keiser of Blue Heron Consulting, and Chuck Keiser also of Blue Heron Consulting.
